Carillon City’s Every Body Counts has now come to an end for 2011 after 14 wonderful women of all ages, shapes and times hit the runway at Perth Fashion Festival.

For the second year running the campaign to celebrate real sized women has promoted diversity and proven that every body does count.

The 2011 women of Every Body Counts came from all walks of life and were sizes 8 to 16, ages 21 to 59.  They were mothers, grandmothers, students and professionals.

These women hit the catwalk in two outstanding shows as part of Perth Fashion Festival, showcasing Carillon City fashion.

Prior to their runway debut the women participated in a professional photo shoot, styling and modelling workshop.

Perth Fashion Festival Director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said she was pleased to see Every Body Counts continue to push boundaries in the fashion industry in 2011.

“It is really important that women of all ages feel comfortable and confident within their own skin. Self esteem and a healthy lifestyle are all contributing factors to this,” Ms Harvey-Hanrahan said.

“Every Body Counts is a great initiative that celebrates diversity and embraces the beauty of the female form in a positive forum. I applaud Carillion City for its ongoing support of this extremely popular event.”
