Hawaiian was proud to play such an active role in this year’s fundraising efforts in support of Telethon, raising money for Princess Margaret Hospital.

Hawaiian worked together with its retail assets in an effort to raise money and support for the long-standing WA fundraising initiative, as well as collaborating with existing events, such as Telethon Coles Kids Carnival.

Their collaboration with Telethon Coles Kids Carnival saw the opportunity for the WA community to participate in basket ball skill sessions with the ever popular Perth Wildcats due to Hawaiian’s sponsorship of the team, held at the Perth Convention Centre on Sunday 16th October. Amongst the excited participants at the event were 2011 Telethon Kids, Ben Popham and Savanna Addis, with Ben even saying it was his “favourite moment of Telethon playing with the Perth Wildcats.”

Hawaiian’s collaboration with the Channel 7 Celebrity Challenge, with four Perth Wildcat players compete against some of the host channel’s popular TV personalties, saw a further $2,000 raised for the cause.

Retail assets, Carillon City and The Park Centre both held stand alone events in efforts to fundraise for Telethon. Carillon City, located in the Perth CBD, held a sale which saw a $6,500 donation raised. Sunday trading at The Park Centre, which included family activities held throughout the day, created a great atmosphere and saw $1,500 raised from generous customer donations.

Hawaiian thanks everyone for their support of such a worthy cause.
