WICKED, opened in Perth in June 2011 for strictly limited season, and tells the story of the remarkable odyssey of two unlikely friends who meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED is about how they grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
WICKED took more than $2.3 million in advance bookings in just three hours when it was launched in Melbourne in February 2008 - a record for Australian musical theatre. Plus, it broke the Melbourne box office record, taking a phenomenal $1.5 million in ticket sales in just one day after it opened in Melbourne on 12 July 2008.
WICKED commenced its Brisbane season in January 2011, its Adelaide season in April 2011 and is now performing its Perth season in June 2011.
